For mankind to progress forward, individuals with the ability to affect change for the better have no right to waste their lives in empty pursuits. We all owe a debt to future generations to move civilization forward.

While there are (very few) examples of moral rules that are black and white, a free thinking mind will realize that almost any moral decision cannot be made out of context of the situation in which it is made. Morality is a living thing; it cannot exist in a vacuum.
