All you need for a moral system is a group of individuals who empathize with each other and understand how their actions affect each other.

What about malice? A person can empathize, understand another person, and still want to, I don’t know, steal his bicycle. All it takes is putting my priorities higher than his priorities, and this act is justified, despite empathy and understanding.
