Why
Because actually we are time travelers. We're all moving toward the future, and it's a little late to decide what we should have been doing in the present's past, but we can still decide what to do in the future's past, as we continue to live through it.

As a time traveler, I would prefer to leave no impact; otherwise, I may affect the chain of causation which would lead to my eventual conception in the first place.
