I think that a lot of people could read this and dismiss it as thinking that slavery is abolished. It isn’t. Now we own people in different ways. From child workers in other countries who have no other options but to work in sweat shops, to people here on US soil who are slaves to their medical debts and student loans. Slavery can be a very broad spectrum. I agree we need to work towards ending it.
