Today there are hundreds of religions masquerading as Competing Certainties. They can’t all be right but they can all be wrong. Either you have good reasons for what you believe or you don’t. Faith may make you feel good but faith is not a Pathway to Truth.

As a species we cannot continue to be mired in myths. Willful ignorance of reality will result in our inevitable extinction. What a sad epitaph for the glorious human race. As Prince Hamlet said:
“What a piece of work is a man, how noble in reason,
how infinite in faculties, in form and moving,
how express and admirable in action, how like an angel in apprehension,
how like a god! ”
But, as we have learned, gods are so ephemeral….

Given 21st century weaponry, humanities’ very survival depends on lifting ourselves out of tribal wars based on ancient myths and recognizing Science as our best tool to solve common problems.
