We cannot assume that how we would like to be treated by others reflects how everyone in our lives would like to be treated. Before we act, we must have the patience and insight to request information from those around us on how they would like us to treat them.

It is easy for people to treat those with differing views negatively; we make war in an effort to destroy those people whose opinions don't reflect our own. Instead, we must realize that differing mindsets are necessary to solve problems: we need each other to be different.
